Autumn with No-Code: NYC means AI Automations, Full-Stack Apps, and our community Show & Tell

October 2026 Edition

Hey NYC No-Coders! πŸ‘‹

You spent the summer building. Inbox automations, lead routers, half-finished apps duct-taped together at midnight. The community has shared it all. This fall is about two things: leveling up how you build, and getting what you built in front of people who’ll appreciate how much work it took.

πŸ—“οΈ Next Up: Build AI Automations You Can Rely On

When: Tuesday, October 20, 6 to 8pm
Where: Nomadworks Times Square, 240 W 40th St, 2nd Floor
What to Expect: Plain English in, a working AI automation out, in about 10 minutes.

You’ve got a process you want AI to handle. So you write a long prompt, and it drifts. You try a skill file, and it’s hard to control. You open a drag-and-drop workflow tool, and it was never built for AI judgment in the first place. This session is about the version that actually holds up once your team depends on it.

What’s happening:

  • Why prompts, skill files, and legacy workflow tools break down at the team level
  • A live build with the Barndoor team, from a plain-English description to a working automation
  • Hands-on build time with help in the room
  • Show what you built, then network over food and drinks

Who should come: Ops leads, CS and rev ops folks, program managers, and anyone with a process they wish the whole team could hand off to AI. No technical background needed. Bring your laptop.

🎁 Bonus: Barndoor is giving every attendee 3 free months of the starter package, redeemable in the room.

Spots are limited and approval-based so we can keep the room hands-on.

πŸ€– Coming Soon: Ship Yourself an Assistant

When: Tuesday, October 27, 6pm
Where: Nomadworks Times Square, 240 W 40th St, 2nd Floor
Cost: Free

You’ve built landing pages. Pretty pages that forget you the second you close the tab. This one’s different. We’re kicking off a three-part series with Base44, and night one is about building a personal tool that remembers: a habit tracker, an expense logger, a research assistant. Your problem, your call. We’ll help you get it built.

What’s brewing:

  • Live intro to Base44 and what sets it apart from landing-page tools
  • Hands-on build time with a real database behind your app
  • Group show-and-tell to see what everyone shipped

πŸ₯― Save the Date: AI Builds Show & Tell + Morning Workshop

When: Saturday, November 21, 10am to 12pm
Where: Nomadworks Times Square (address on RSVP)
Cost: Free. Seriously.

This one’s for you. Bagels, a quick build-together session, and then we hand you the floor for an hour of demos, experiments, and works in progress. Polished or half-broken, we want to see it.
